My garden is bursting with life already. It makes me very happy. Everything is coming up, new strawberry plants, bulbs, garlic, and even worms! I love it! We’ve had tons of rain this past month, but a few sunny days and the temperature over 50 degrees, has made everything bud and bloom. I’ve also been sneezing a lot more than usual.

Here are some photos of my garden this week.

Oh, and the end of Winter means birthdays in my household. All 3 of us have a birthday in the beginning to middle of March. First it was mine, then our son’s 4th, and then my husband’s is next. Fun! Here is a birthday cake honoring our son’s love of trains and chocolate and M&Ms. After looking at Pinterest for inspiration and feeling completely defeated by the amazing professional “train themed” cakes, I decided to turn it off and just make up my own thing. I wanted it to be a surprise, but my son found me working on it and insisted on helping. I just can’t cook without him. So he helped. And for the second year in a row, he did not want a party. But I needed to honor his day of birth, for myself…so we are having a “non-birthday-party-cake-eating-get-together” with just a few close neighbors for a short time. Happy End of Winter everyone!!!
